"Visit to Emergency Department"

About: Geraldton Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I presented with a haematoma of the left foot after a fall down the steps of my caravan. Staff were very attentive and sent me for an xray then CT scan in a very short time.

This discovered a fracture of the foot.
The communication from all emergency staff and level of care was very professional and very helpful...from triage, clerks, orderlies, nurses, doctors they all made me feel very comfortable and cared for.
Thank you.

Dear dancetq98,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us on Care Opinion.

It is always very pleasing to read a story like yours that acknowledges it takes a real team effort to successfully operate a hospital. Each staff member plays an important role in ensuring a patient’s journey is efficient, comprehensive and delivered with warmth and compassion.

I take great pleasure in acknowledging everyone who played a part in your care.

I do hope your foot is recovering and you are soon back out in your caravan.

Regards,

Cameron Ross
