About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Mental Health Services

(as the patient),

i’m in here for an eating disorder, but there’s been some issues with the paid internet it’s good but at the time of writing this i’ve been here for a few days now and woke up to it saying my login doesn’t work anymore ? i’ve tried everything to log back in and it won’t let me, im a bit confused cause i’ve only been using it for movies and youtube videos, also i wouldn’t be complaining if i could actually get up and do stuff, i’m on bed rest and watching movies is basically all i can do right now.

Dear pelicannh67

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us on Care Opinion.

I’m sorry to hear that you have been experiencing some issues with accessing certain media via the WIFI subscription.

At FSFHG we strive to ensure that the wellbeing of our patients is taken into consideration in all aspects of their care, and I appreciate that whilst on bed rest it would be important to have some distraction at times.

Whilst it is difficult for me without specific details to provide you with a solution immediately, I have been advised that the Wi-Fi is subject to bandwidth and download usage limitations. This means if the limit is reached it may require the user to reauthenticate using their MRN and passcode to reconnect.

If at the time of receiving this reply you are still a patient with us and experiencing difficulties, I would encourage you to discuss this with the Nurse Unit Manager of the ward, as they will have the ability to raise this with the service department who oversee our Wi-Fi system and will work with you to find the best solution.

Best wishes

Neil Doverty
