Attended said department with my elderly parent, majority of staff were wonderful. That being said, there was 1 nurse who I felt was so unprofessional. There was an elderly patient brought in by ambulance who was clearly not very well.
The initial nurse was very patient and caring towards this patient, she was sent on her meal break and the nurse felt was nasty took over.
They went in to collect bloods of the patient, as they were asleep and had no idea what was going on, the nurse startled them.
Said nurse then stated the patient was being combative and I recall stormed out, they then returned with discharge papers and asked if the patient could afford a taxi to get home. I believe the patient had no idea what was going on and the nurse told them to sign at the x and get up and wait for the taxi.
Very disappointing and clearly, in my opinion the nurse is in the wrong profession.
