I would not normally take the time to leave feedback, but I feel in this it is extremely warranted. My health journey has been arduous and traumatic. Gaining a diagnosis has been difficult and left me feeling like a burden.
I presented to PATS with my husband as I was already quite overwhelmed, things changed when I was helped by Amanda. Firstly she knew what ME is, that’s rare in itself! She then took great time and care to give me all the options I had for travel, places to stay, helped explain we could claim back appointments already attended and everything else available on how PATS works. She even gave me her card and her direct number if I had any troubles.
I have called her multiple times and asked many questions, always answered in a way I can understand, she took time to help me. She told me after I apologised for interrupting her again and again that it was ok, she understood my exhaustion and brain fog and I could call as often as I needed. That made me very emotional, usually people just think I am faking my illness so this means so much.
The pats team behind the scenes have sorted out many upcoming trips and paid for others I’ve already attended. They’ve added in extra paperwork and just been incredible in every way. Thank you to them all for being an amazing team of compassionate people.
"PATS - incredible care"
