I had to take my child to PCH ED after they subluxed their shoulder a recent weekend but the wait time was so long we left and returned on the Monday morning. The wait time on that morning was not as bad but I was very surprised to find out that Physiotherapist do not manage these injuries in PCH ED. When I thought I might have broken my ankle a few months ago I went to ED at a metropolitan hospital and was looked after by a Physiotherapist who looked after me from beginning to end. I did not need to see a doctor, did not have to wait too long and the treatment and explanations were top notch while some of the patients were still in the wait room at the front when I left. Why are there no Physiotherapists in ED at PCH to take care of these injuries?
"No physiotherapy services in ED"
