"Natural birth at King Edward Family Birthing Centre"

I had a fully natural labour and gave birth to a beautiful, healthy boy weighing 4.3kgs at the King Edward Family Birthing Centre.

My midwife was Emma. She is the most amazing, caring woman who helped me so much through my second pregnancy. She made my long coming dream of a natural birth come true with no hesitations. Emma and her team vouched for me my whole pregnancy even though they knew I was having a big baby and the drs were getting a little pushy towards the idea of an induction (which I had with my first child because he was ‘too big’ and I didn’t want to go through that again. He was born 4.2kgs for reference).

Emma and her team always had my best interest at heart, with every worry or question I had, they answered not only with professionalism but also with care and showed me that they’re always here to inform me and give their best advice but when it comes down to it, every decision is mine.

I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome and I am truly appreciative of this whole experience and I couldn’t have done it without Emma. Thank you for all your love, kindness and hope. I don’t believe I would get the same treatment of respect and attention to detail anywhere else. You’re honestly amazing Emma and you’re great at your job! I’ll be back to see you if I decide to have number 3.
