"The birth of my second son"

About: Margaret River Hospital

(as the patient),

After 9 months of brewing our son was ready to be induced. The midwives communicated the game plan and reassured us through the process, which I appreciated greatly as I’ve found this whole breeding thing most unsettling.

They kept me updated through the birthing process which went fairly smooth until the last bit when over a litre of blood erupted from ‘mount fookashema’. I quietly pooped my pants and observed the doctor and two midwives calmly and efficiently work to stop the bleeding.

It did stop and after a couple of nights in hospital we were home and doing well.

It was a terrifying experience made tolerable by the excellent and professional care we received at Margaret River Hospital. Thanks to all involved.

Dear Blimey

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience with the Margaret River health service. It was fantastic to hear that you both received such excellent and professional attention.

We value the feedback that we receive from the community as it helps us to recognise areas to celebrate success.

It must have been an unsettling experience for both of you and it is marvelous to hear that the doctors and midwives worked together to stop the bleeding.

I will take great pleasure in passing on your feedback to our wonderful team.

We wish you and your family the best possible health and thank you again for taking the time to share your experience with us.

Thanks, Regards

Marie Tweedie
