For my adult life there has been only a bit over 5 years that I have not been in jail or on parole and I'm now 42 years old. I've tried rehabs before but never lasted.
Road Maps staff are the first people that I have been honest with because I am sick of the drug life and I want help, I want answers.
I think that bringing the Road Maps program to small rural communities is very positive, small towns usually miss out. I have made big efforts to turn up and participate each week. My advice for Road Maps and the people that provide the funding is to never give up on anyone.
It doesn't matter if it only helps one person. That one person is worth it.
