"Birth at Fiona Stanley"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Antenatal Clinic, Birth Suite, Maternal Fetal Assessment Unit, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit, Wards 3B, 3C, 3D, 3DO, Visiting Midwife Service

(as the patient),

I had a very quick labour at Fiona Stanley recently. I didn’t even get a chance to meet my midwives as I was completely lost in labour. When walking from MFAU to the birth suite I felt completely supported and surrounded by a team of midwives and a Doctor. They were all so incredible and supportive.

Things were happening quickly and I was frightened - Phoebe gave me such incredible emotional support to make me feel safe and release into the experience. Kylie was also amazing support - I didn’t even know what was happening as my baby was born within 10 minutes of arriving, they just swooped in and did everything required and were all amazing.

I’m so appreciative of Phoebe and Kylie and the others in the room. They were so amazing and supportive of me physically and emotionally. I was a terrible patient when being stitched up and they put up with me! I’m so grateful and never got a chance to thank any of them.

Dear braceye98,

Thank you so much for taking the time to send us such lovely feedback at what must be a very busy time for you with your new baby.

The Fiona Stanley Hospital Maternity Service strives to be focused on ensuring all of the pregnant / birthing woman’s needs are met.

We are delighted to know that your experience with our midwives and doctor was positive. We understand how frightening quick labours and births can be and it is most pleasing to hear that you had the emotional and physical support at this time. We are incredibly proud of our amazing staff and the way they partner with our women and families to ensure each mother's needs are paramount and met.

I will convey your positive feedback to the Midwives and Doctors - I know they will really appreciate it.

Once again congratulations!

Kind Regards,
