"Taking my granddaughter to ED"

About: Jurien Bay Health Centre

(as a relative),

My granddaughter had injured her knee at school and was having trouble walking on it or bending it without pain. Her stepmom had 3 younger children with her who were tired and unsettled so I offered to take my granddaughter to the ED for assessment and reassurance.

Nurse Annette did a great assessment on her, gave her pain relief and explained everything she was doing as she was doing it to ensure my granddaughter was comfortable with the process.

She sent her home with written advice for follow up if required and reassurance that she could re-present at ED if needed.

All in all, it was a good experience for a child who does not often attend medical/health centres. Thank you Annette.

Dear Grandmother58,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent experience at Jurien Bay Health Centre with your granddaughter.

Annette is a very experienced nurse and manager of the health centre who has been providing high quality nursing care to the local community for many years.

Annette will really appreciate your kind words and I will be visiting the health centre today to pass on your thanks.

It was great to read that your experience was a positive one for both you and your grand daughter and trust she is recovering well from her injury.

Best wishes

Trenton
